Spacey stops West End play to tell off audience member
By Josh Haggis

Kevin Spacey halted a West End theatre performance part-way through last night (June 4) to call out an audience member whose phone was ringing.
The House of Cards actor is currently starring in a revival of one-man play Clarence Darrow at London’s Old Vic theatre. The acclaimed production marks the third time Spacey has played the iconic lawyer and civil rights leader on stage.
During last night’s performance, an audience member’s phone began to ring – and two-time Oscar winner Spacey wasn’t having any of it.
“If you don’t answer that, I will!” said the 54-year-old actor while still in character, reportedly causing the audience to break into applause.
Meanwhile, Spacey has recently signed up to star in Captain of the Gate, a film which will follow Winston Churchill’s rise to power as he helped defend the UK from a Nazi invasion during the Second World War.
