Yes that’s right, Drag Race royalty has officially entered the building on So You Think You Can Dance in the form of the inimitable Ms Laganja Estranja.
The 29-year-old drag queen and dancer – real name Jay Jackson – surprised audiences as she made her debut during the season 15 premiere on Monday night (June 4), wowing the crowd with a sickening routine set to RuPaul’s ‘Cover Girl’ (natch).
Laganja, who finished in eigth place on season six of Drag Race in 2014, certainly made an impression on judges Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy and for Drag Race guest judge Vanessa “I’m so into vogueing right now” Hudgens – but it remains to be seen whether she can go all the way this time around.
