Queer As Folk team on rimming scenes including ‘homage’ to The White Lotus via Lukas Gage

The original 90s verion of Queer as Folk made waves when Aidan Gillen’s Stuart gives Charlie Hunnam’s Nathan a rim-job he never forgets in the very first episode.

Now, over 20 years later, a reimagined take on the show is bringing plenty more ass-eating energy.

Attitude discovered as much while interviewing the cast of the new show, including rising stars Devin Way and Fin Argus, who discussed the show’s explosive sex scenes at length.

“I had to do a tuck situation”

“I’m ready to talk about ass-eating — bring it on!” was Fin’s response when Attitude asks if they’re aware of the cultural conversation around the original’s rimming scene. (They certainly don’t remember it – they were five months old at the time!)

“It was my first scene,” says Fin, who identifies as queer. “It was so much… I was in almost full drag, had to do a tuck situation, go into a bathroom stall, get my ass ate… It was hilarious! I’d never done a scene like that prior. Now I feel like a seasoned pro! I was so nervous… but it was a perfect introduction to Queer as Folk.”

Devin added of Queer As Folk‘s intimacy coordinator Hannah Hall: “Fun fact: you know young Jenny in Forrest Gump? ‘Run, Forrest, Run’? That’s Hannah! She was teaching me how to eat a butt and I was staring at her, like: ‘I know you…’”

Further rimming clout is apparent in the inclusion of guest star Lukas Gage, who last year made headlines alongside Looking‘s Murray Barlett for a memorable sex scene in HBO’s The White Lotus. “There might be a homage to that [later in the season],” Stephen Dunn told us.

Queer as Folk premiered in the UK on streaming service Starzplay on Friday 1 July.
