Netflix has announced that its hugely popular video series I Like to Watch will be hitting the road this September and October.

Embarking on a fantastically camp tour of the UK while bringing the show’s outrageous humour live to LGBTQ venues across the country, recordings will take place in cities such as Hull, Swansea, and Glasgow – with the likes of The Vivienne and Tayce in attendance.

(What’s more, Attitude will be partnering with Netflix to promote the tour and reporting live from three of the stops. More details to follow soon…)

“Fingers crossed our tour can help local scenes as they start to find their feet again”

The show will travel between cities in ‘a fabulously flamboyant kitsch motorhome fit for our queens’, Netflix told Attitude, with venues ‘given an I Like To Watch living room-style makeover, immersing attendees and bringing them closer to the action than ever before.’

The tour kicks off on 4 September at London’s Mighty Hoopla, where the motorhome will be parked up to give festival-goers drag makeovers.

“I’m so excited to be taking I Like To Watch on the road,” says The Vivienne.

“We’ve all had a shocker over the last year or so, and queens and LGBT+ venues have really struggled. I’ve made a career working in bars all over the UK, so I know how vital they are to our community. We want to give everybody a camp time, but fingers crossed our tour can help local scenes as they start to find their feet again.”

The tour dates in full

4 September – Mighty Hoopla, London
9 September ‒ Margate, Sundowners
16 September ‒ Bournemouth, DYMK
30 September ‒ Nottingham, New Foresters
7 October ‒ Glasgow, Polo Lounge
14 October ‒ Swansea, Dorothy’s Showbar
20 October ‒ Hull, Fuel

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK queens such as Tia Kofi and Cheryl Hole will be partnered with up-and-coming queens, local to each of the venues. Films critiqued will include Pitch
Perfect, Netflix’s Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga and He’s All That.
