By Fabio Crispim

The LSFF, London Short Film Festival, has announced its full 2017 programme, screening 500 UK and international short films in January

The programme has an LGBTQ strand, starting with New Queer Visions: Roots Manoeuvre that raises, but doesn’t necessarily answer, a number of questions about crossing borders and identities taking shape.

The film is followed by New Queer Visions: A Special Relationship, a diverse set of shorts and documentaries from the United States of America featuring everything from anime to sharks and country music.

Club Des Femmes’ Smoulder And Curl is another film, featuring a unique and deeply personal films that explore the emotional flow of lesbian relationships and sexuality.

As well as the LGBT strand, there are films focusing on music, comedy, fashion, culture and international films.

Another highlight of the LSFF is David Bowie: Sound & Vision which celebrates the first anniversary of his death, consisting of several short films from across three decades.

The LSFF will run from January 6 to the 15th.
