Leona Lewis to preview new album at London gig next week

By Ryan Love

Leona Lewis will preview her new album at a showcase in London next week.

The ‘Happy’ singer has been working on the follow-up to 2012’s Glassheart, which peaked at number three on the UK album chart.

Lewis teased new single ‘Fire (Under My Feet)’ in December, sharing a short clip of herself performing the track live.

Confirming the showcase, which will take place in London on Tuesday (April 14), she also launched a competition offering five fans the chance to win a pair of tickets each. The competition can be entered via her official website – find out more here.

The untitled new album will be Lewis’s first since exiting Simon Cowell’s Syco and signing with Island Records.

After celebrating her 30th birthday last week, she thanked fans for their continued support in an open letter, writing: “As I’m about to share this new music with you, I feel butterflies fill my soul and my heart is racing as I write this.

“I feel more connected with you than ever and this, as well as the situations I’ve been through the past couple of years, has given me the fire, courage and passion to write and record this album.”
