Caesars Entertainment has announced that Las Vegas is naming a day in honour of Britney Spears.
On November 5 – now known as ‘Britney Day’ – the casino will award the pop icon with the keys to the city and an official Clark County proclamation for the day.
The special event, which is taking place to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Britney’s ‘Piece of Me’ residency, follow reports that the Slave 4 U singer is receiving a huge pay rise thanks to the success of the long-running show.
According to TMZ, Britney will now earn a reported $475,000 (£296,000) per show, which will give the singer a paycheck of around $1,000,000 (£624,000) every week.
It was announced last month (September) that Britney has extended her ‘Piece of Me’ residency through to 2017 – find out the details here.
Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez is rumoured to be close to signing a deal a deal to perform at the same venue as Britney – get the full story here.
