Lady Gaga releases ‘Sour Candy’ featuring Blackpink

Two of the world's biggest musical forces have come together on 'Chromatica'.

With less than 24 hours until Lady Gaga’s Chromatica finally arrives, Mother Monster has treated us to another sugary bop from the record in the form of ‘Sour Candy’, featuring K-pop girl group Blackpink.

Produced by BloodPop and BURNS, the pulsating, house-infused track is the third to be lifted from Gaga’s sixth studio album following the release of ‘Stupid Love’ and Ariana Grande collab ‘Rain On Me’ – the latter of which is currently challenging for the top spot on this week’s Official UK Singles Chart.

For the uninitiated, four-piece girl group BLACKPINK rank as one of the world’s biggest K-pop bands, and have already help to bring the genre to the UK mainstream with Top 40 hits including ‘Kill This Love’ and ‘Kiss and Make Up’ with Dua Lipa.

Made up of Jisoo, 25, Jennie, 24, Rosé, 23, and Lisa, also 23, the group were formed in 2016 and last year overtook One Direction to become the band with the highest number of subscribers on YouTube in the world.
