Katy Perry annihilates fan’s ex-boyfriend in WhatsApp takedown

Don’t slate Katy Perry. Ever. Even in a private WhatsApp conversation. There’s clearly a possibility she will see it and let you know exactly what she thinks.
When a fan near the stage of one of her recent shows on the Prismatic World Tour was answering messages on their phone, Katy took them to task. Before too long, Katy had the fan’s phone in hand and was reading through their Whatsapp messages – and discovered a message saying “Lol I heard she can’t sing live at all.” Big mistake.
Don’t hold back there, Katy.
The whole thing went down months ago while the megastar was in Melbourne, but has only just begun to make its way around the internet.
And if the unlucky guy – “Bill Kitty” – needed any proof that it was definitely the lady herself behind the takedown, the moment was caught on video:
She said after sending the loaded message: “It’s your ex-boyfriend and you still have a WhatsApp group with him? What are you doing?! Do not text your ex! We need to talk after the show.”
There are those who doubt that Katy really sent the takedown, and we must admit, while there’s video evidence of her taking the pic, we have our doubts that she really wrote that expletive-filled message: as some have pointed out, there is only seven minutes between the ‘On my way to the Katy Perry concert’ message and the ensuing Katy selfie. And it’s also worth noting the phone’s service provider is AT&T – not an Australian carrier (or at least, not a common one).
So it may all be too good to be true… the swearing part, at least.
Katy is thought to be preparing a Christmas track for release this year, while her fourth album is expected at some point in 2016.
The tour will soon play its last handful of dates in Latin America before wrapping up in Costa Rica on October 18. It will have racked up a huge 151 shows across 18 months by its conclusion.
