Joan Collins pays tribute to ‘Dynasty’ co-star Kate O’Mara

Joan Collins has taken to Twitter to pay tribute to Kate O’Mara after the actress’s passing was announced earlier today (March 30).

Collins appeared opposite O’Mara in the iconic ’80s show Dynasty as Alexis Carrington, the sister of O’Mara’s character Cassandra.

Numerous other celebrities have also taken to Twitter to pay tribute following news of O’Mara’s passing.

Graham Norton tweeted: “Kate O’Mara is no more. Only 74! I loved every encounter I had with her. Today doesn’t seem so sunny.”

Former Doctor Who star Tom Baker, who acted alongside the actress in the BBC sci-fi series, tweeted: “Oh my goodness. Kate O’Mara is no longer with us. Sad sad news. A delightful, committed and talented lady and actress. We are the poorer.”

Jake Canuso, who appeared with O’Mara in her final role in a 2012 episode of Benidorm, tweeted: “Very sad to hear that Kate O’Mara has died. We had the privilege to work with her in series 5. She was so lovely and a delight to work with.”

Kate O’Mara’s agent announced this afternoon (March 30) that the actress had passed away. The 74-year-old died in a nursing home after experiencing a short illness.
