James Corden battles with Adam Lambert in Queen front man battle – WATCH

By Fabio Crispim

James Corden and Adam Lambert engaged into a Queen singing battle earlier this week (February 2).

During his Late Late Show, Corden revealed how excited he was over the announcement of the band’s North American tour and claims he always thought he’d make a good front man for the band.

“In my head when I was growing up I always thought that I would make a great front man for Queen,” Corden said.

He then spoke about Lambert as the front man, joking that he’s “all right.”

“Should be a British man. I’m not saying I’d be a better front man than him, I’m just saying I think I’d be a better front man than him. That’s all I’m saying.”

That’s when Lambert, who has been performing with the band as their new front man, made a ‘surprise’ appearance on the show.

Lambert then offered Corden a challenge, “Maybe we should go head-to-head James. Bring it!”

Original band members Brian May and Roger Taylor make appearances as they assist the battle while Lambert and Corden sing classic Queen songs.

However, Corden eventually admits defeat when Lambert signs ‘Another One Bites The Dust’.

“You’re a better front man than me,” Corden states. Despite losing, the pair then iang ‘Somebody To Love’ together.
