In pictures: Gay artist paints men in typical pin-up poses

Ohio-based artist Paul Richmond specialises in putting a unique gay spin on his work, and his Cheesecake Boys series is no different.

Casting hunky men in the mid-20th century women’s pin-up style, the tongue-in-cheek collection is a humorous and often quite hot artistic exercise in breaking down gender and sexuality-based stereotypes.

Perez Hilton, photographer Mike Ruiz and comedian Alec Mapa are some of the well-known gay personalities to appear Paul’s collection, which he describes as an “equal opportunity” approach to pin-up culture. Check out his work in the gallery below:
