Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart pose for Super Bowl selfie

Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart have posed in American football outfits in anticipation of the Super Bowl tomorrow (February 2).
Stewart posted the picture on Twitter last night (January 31) and it has already been retweeted over 46,000 times. The caption simply reads: “Football!”
Over the last year or so, the veteran thesps have become known for posing for quirky selfies together, including an almost impossibly cute photo in which they met Elmo from Sesame Street in New York.
McKellen and Stewart will be seen on screen together in superhero sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past, which opens in cinemas on May 23. The sci-fi film’s bumper ensemble cast also includes Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Nicholas Hoult and Anna Paquin.
