Here’s the gay boyband parody we’ve all been waiting for
It doesn’t matter if straight guys can’t dance, lip-sync to Madonna or pick out decent swimwear – because the boys of Be Heterofriendly are here to help.
Turning the idea of ‘gay-friendly’ on its head, the music video features five bearded gym-bunnies who boldly auto-tune words of homo-wisdom to their straight friend, helping him pick out clothes, chat up girls and vehemently support his “love for porn with big tits.”
If poking fun at positive discrimination is your thing, this is for you.
The video promotes Axel Hotels, the world’s first LGBT hotel chain, which has branches in Berlin, Maspalomas and two in Barcelona.
“We wanted to blink an eye at society when facing the struggle for true normalization of the LGBT community, we wanted them to step in our shoes for a moment,” said Juan Julià, founder and president of Axel Hotels.
While the video was shot on location at the two Barcelona hotels, the brand plans on extending its chain over mainland Europe and the United States over the next five years.
That means there could be a hunky barbershop quintet coming to a city near you.
