French model, actor and singer Quentin Elias has died at the age of 39.

Quentin is best known as being the lead singer in ’90s boy band Alliage, before he embarked on a solo career in 2002 after moving to New York City.

He passed away at his home in New York earlier this week, a statement on his official Facebook page confirmed.

The message read: “Quentin Elias passed away at his home in New York on February 25th, 2014. The family would like to thank everyone for supporting Quentin’s career as he truly loved to perform for his loving fans.”

The cause of his death has yet to be confirmed, although Queerty reports that he suffered a heart attack at his home.

During his time in New York, he also worked as a television and stage actor and modelled for brands including Armani.

He briefly appeared on gay adult site Randy Blue in 2008.
