Eric McCormack will get a Hollywood Walk of Fame star, next to his Will & Grace co-star Debra Messing.

The actor starred alongside Messing in the hit 1990s TV series and the duo – alongside Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally – reprised their roles in the revived season, which was met with critical praise.

Now, McCormack will be honoured with a Hollywood Walk of Fame and the news was broken by the Vice President of Media Relations for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and Hollywood Walk of Fame Producer, Ana Martinez.

She wrote on Twitter: “Where there’s a WILL there’s a way! Actor @EricMcCormack will be honored with his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on September 13th!

“His star will be next to his acting partner in crime Debra Messing!”

McCormack then retweeted the post and joked: “Very happy to be walked all over! #WillAndGrace #Travelers”

In a statement, Martinez said: “Eric McCormack is one of the funniest and talented actors around and we are thrilled to be honoring him.

“He’s a national treasure, even though he’s Canadian. What makes this ceremony extra special is that his star will be next to that of his “Will & Grace” sidekick, Debra Messing, which further solidifies their great history and achievements together.”
