Elton John sings some ‘Carpool Karaoke’ with James Corden
Music great Elton John has appeared as a guest on James Corden’s infamous Carpool Karaoke segment, where the US talk show host takes celebrities for a spin in his car while giving the vocal chords a gymnastic workout.
Following in the footsteps on Adele, Coldplay’s Chris Martin and the One Direction boys, the 68-year-old looked like he was having a ball as he stepped down memory lane with ‘Your Song’, the ‘Circle of Life’, and ‘I’m Still Standing’.
“I was never a lead vocalist, not like Bowie or Jagger, I was stuck at a piano, which is a right foot plank,” John explained to Corden.
“And I wasn’t a sex symbol, and so I have fun with my outfits. And I just went for it.”
Elton has been hot on the promotion trail for his 32nd studio album Wonderful Crazy Night.
Last week, he also made an impromptu appearance at London’s St Pancras station, where he had a tinkle on the ivories as surprised and bemused onlookers scrambled for their smart phones to hit record.
