Disney reveals first openly gay couple in the ‘Star Wars’ universe

Disney has revealed its first openly gay couple in the Star Wars universe.
Although fans of the movie saga have been shipping Finn (John Boyega) and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), it appears their much desired romance will not be happening.
However, the Star Wars universe have confirmed two characters, Orka and Flix, in the animated TV series Star Wars Resistance are in a same-sex couple.
While on the Coffee with Kenobi podcast with Drew Taylor, the show’s executive producers Athena Portillo, Justin Ridge and Brandon Auman said: “I think it’s safe to say they’re an item absolutely.
“They’re absolutely a gay couple and we’re proud of that. We love Flix and Orka.”
This marks the first openly gay couple in the entirety of the Star Wars universe.
