David Dawson to play Harry Styles’ on-screen lover as Rupert Everett also cast in film

David Dawson is to star opposite Harry Styles in upcoming movie My Policeman, it has been reported.
According to The Daily Mail, Year of the Rabbit star David will play the younger version of Harry’s on-screen lover, Patrick – with Rupert Everett playing the older version.
Meanwhile Linus Roache will play the older version of Harry’s character Tom, who has a decades-spanning affair despite being married to a woman (Emma Corrin.)

Showbiz columnist Baz Bamigboye broke the news, reporting that film begins shooting next month.
He said on Twitter: “@MichaelGrandage directs the @AmazonStudios film on locations in and around London & south-east coast from April 12. 2/3.”
Gina McKee will play the older version of Emma’s character.
The film, based in Bethan Roberts’ novel, is set in Brighton in 1957. It is being shot by Amazon Studios.
Emma’s new role follows her Golden Globe win, for Actress in a Drama TV Series win for The Crown. She played Diana, Princess of Wales in the hit Netflix show.
Former One Direction star Harry, known for hits like ‘Sign of the Times’ and ‘Watermelon Sugar’, made his acting debut in 2017 WW2 drama Dunkirk, and will be seen in the upcoming film Don’t Worry Darling, co-starring Florence Pugh.
