Coronation Street’s James Bailey (Nathan Graham) and Danny Tomlinson (Dylan Brady) have got back together after James came out in a tense press conference in last night’s episode of the soap opera (30 June 2021).

The drama!

The storyline saw James, a footballer, face questions from journalists about his sexuality after pictures had emerged online of him with and Danny.

Coronation Street confirmed earlier this week the kiss would be the programme’s first since social distancing measures were introduced while filming.

“Awwww”

After the press conference, James returns to the street to look over online reaction with friends.

Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) remarks is “really positive” despite the occasional “offensive” comment.

James is met by Danny who congratulates him on his announcement before asking if James will take him and his bottle of Champagne (not a euphemism) back. Saying “of course”, James and Danny embrace in a tender moment applauded by some of the street’s residents.

Fans loved the moment, with one tweeting an image of the show saying: “Awwww James and Danny” with a love heart emoji.

We love to see a couple get their happy ending – and just in time for the end of Pride month!

Coronation Street is on ITV on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm.
