Caitlyn Jenner seeks $439k from Sophia Hutchins’s estate after fatal ATV crash

Caitlyn Jenner is seeking $439,095.88 (£331k) from the estate of her late friend and manager Sophia Hutchins.

Legal documents filed in September 2025 show Jenner submitted a creditor’s claim alleging Hutchins had built up significant unpaid expenses while working for her. Hutchins, who was 29, died on 2 July 2025 after her ATV plunged approximately 350 feet into a ravine in Malibu.

According to the filing, Hutchins had authorised access to Jenner’s credit and debit cards. The agreement allowed her to use them, but required her to repay any personal spending. Jenner claims a large portion of those costs were never settled.

The total includes $273,453.49 in credit card charges and $15,913.55 spent via debit card, along with $9,890.65 in interest accrued on the credit balance. The claim also references $7,150 in cash advances issued between February and June 2025, which Jenner says were expected to be repaid.

Jenner is also seeking $133,509.58 in outstanding legal fees. The pair had previously agreed to split the cost of lawyers in a separate lawsuit, with Jenner covering the fees upfront “with the understanding that Decedent would reimburse her as soon as possible in the future”.

Documents state Hutchins had repaid $75,000 before her death, leaving the remaining balance unpaid.

In March 2026, Hutchins’s estate reportedly moved to approve payment of the full amount claimed.

Hutchins had worked closely with Jenner for years and later became her manager. The two lived together and were frequently seen side by side.
