‘Big Bang Theory’ star Jim Parsons marries partner Todd Spiewak

By Ross Semple

Jim Parsons, star of sitcom The Big Bang Theory, has married his longterm partner Todd Spiewak.

Jim & Todd, who have been together for 14 years, married in a ceremony at New York City’s Rainbow Room on Saturday (May 13).

The couple celebrated their 14th anniversary in November. Jim commemorated the occasion with a picture of the couple on Instagram, which included the caption: “I met this guy (the one with the mic) 14 years ago today and it was the best thing that ever happened to me, no contest. One of his greatest gifts to me is that he no longer takes me to sing karaoke.

“Also, I believe this was a selfie with an actual camera, as our phones couldn’t do that back then hahaha!”

Parsons came out implicitly in a profile about him in the New York Times when he was starring in a Broadway show in 2012. His first public appearance with Spiewak came in in 2013, when the couple accepted the Inspiration Award at the GLSEN Respect Awards that year.

Jim has starred in The Big Bang Theory since its debut in 2007. The mega-hit show has become one of the most popular shows on US TV, with its main stars reportedly banking $1 million per episode for the latest season.
