A’keria C. Davenport on why she dropped out of All Stars 6’s ‘game within a game’ twist

"Y'all know I'm a fighting b****, but..."

A’keria C. Davenport shook fans of All Stars 6 last night when she “respectfully declined” to return to the show for the ‘game-within-a-game’ twist.

In last night’s episode (19 August 2021), the queen was invited back alongside fellow eliminated contestants like Pandora Boxx and Jiggly Caliente to lip-sync her way back into the competition.

(Spoiler alert: Silky Nutmeg Ganache smashed it.)

However, A’keria turned out to be the only competitor to turn the opportunity down – and her reason for doing so is quietly heartbreaking.

“I’m proud of what I did”

“So y’all know I’m a fighting b****,” she explained in confessionals.

“But I would much rather respectfully decline than to have my world shattered again.”

Understandable.

The 33-year-old continued: “I’m proud of what I did, and even with those losses I’ve took. I’m sure people will be ‘oh my god, you’re so crazy that you had this second chance and you’re not taking it’.

“But I still feel like I have a second chance because I can take the things I’ve now learned about myself, that this competition has taught me, and apply that to my next journey in life.”

Earlier this season, A’Keria once again made headlines when she shared that she “used to live as a trans woman” but “retransitioned”, adding: “I’ll now and forever advocate and dedicate everything in me to protect [trans people].”

All Stars 6 continues next Thursday on Netflix in the UK.
