MTV star Davis Mallory debuts girlfriend after saying God ‘pulled him out’ of being gay
Mallory said he no longer identified as gay in 2025, comparing homosexuality to a sin

US reality star Davis Mallory has debuted his first girlfriend, Rachel Vaughan, since he announced he was no longer gay last year.
Mallory, known for coming out as a gay Christian on the 18th season of MTV‘s The Real World: Denver, shared their relationship on his Instagram on 30 August.
Sharing snaps from a holiday in Portugal, Mallory and Vaughan posed together in several locations across the country, locking lips, holding hands and enjoying the sights.

“It’s crazy what love can do. I love you,” Mallory captioned the post, tagging his new girlfriend.
Mallory became known for his tenure on The Real World: Denver, where he was praised for his visibility as an LGBTQ+ Christian.
He reflected on his coming-out journey in a 2020 Facebook post, writing: “Being back in Denver is reminding me of being 22 and freshly coming out on @mtv @realworld happy National coming out day ya’ll.”
Mallory no longer identifies as gay
Years later, he revealed he no longer identified as gay. In 2025, The Challenge alum discussed his sexuality while speaking at the Arise House of Prayer and Worship in Hawaii.
“I lived a gay lifestyle for about 20 years, I was on a television show The Real World and I came out as a gay Christian,” said Mallory. “God really pulled me out of that lifestyle a year ago.”
He compared homosexuality to a sin. “Praise God, honestly. He started speaking to me in my dreams and showing me the spiritual warfare that I was going through,” Mallory said.

“Every time I returned to sin, I would have a nightmare that my car was being broken into. I had a nightmare [where] I gave [the car’s] title to someone else. I was giving my identity to someone else while my car was sliding backwards.”
He continued to thank God: “So, he was just showing me these really strong visual dreams, these images of what sin was doing in my life.”
