Clavicular agrees with trans women on looksmaxxing roots as they say ‘we’re the OGs’
"You guys were using a lot of the words in the trans subreddits in 2021," he said, before agreeing he had seen similar discussions himself

Clavicular was joined by a group of trans women during a livestream over the weekend, in an exchange that has since been widely shared online.
The creator, whose real name is Braden Peters, was filming as part of an ongoing 30-day broadcast when three women approached him and his friend at a restaurant. The interaction quickly turned into a conversation about appearance, gender presentation and the online culture Clavicular is closely associated with.
“Why am I mogging you right now?” one woman asked. “I’m dragqueenmaxxing right now, no shade.”
“You know that trans women are the OG looksmaxxers?” – one of the women speaking to Clavicular
From there, the group steered the discussion towards looksmaxxing – the internet term for deliberately improving physical appearance through methods such as fitness, skincare and cosmetic procedures.
Clavicular met a couple of transgender women who kept telling him they were the original looksmaxxers and that he’s copying them.

One of the women told him directly: “You know that trans women are the OG looksmaxxers?”
As the conversation continued, the group argued that many of the ideas now circulating in looksmaxxing spaces have long existed within trans communities, particularly around body modification and presentation.
Clavicular did not push back on the suggestion. Instead, he acknowledged overlap in language and online spaces, referencing trans forums and how certain terminology was already in use there.
“You guys were using a lot of the words in the trans subreddits in 2021” – Clavicular responding to the group
“You guys were using a lot of the words in the trans subreddits in 2021,” he said, before agreeing he had seen similar discussions himself.
“You’re, like, copying us, no shade,” one of them told him.
Clavicular, who built his following through content focused on looksmaxxing and self-optimisation, has become one of the most recognisable figures associated with the trend across platforms including Kick and TikTok.
The clip comes at a time of increased scrutiny around the streamer. Late last month, he was arrested in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on battery charges following an alleged incident involving his girlfriend and another woman at a rental property.
