Troye Sivan has opened up about a difficult 18 months as he releases new single ‘could cry just thinkin bout you’.

The Aussie singer, 26, has recorded a full-length version of the reflective break-up song, which originally appeared as a 53-second interlude on his 2020 EP In a Dream

The accompanying video sees Troye perform the song from a swimming pool in a white sailor hat as he sings: “Every guy I want looks something just like you… I don’t know who I am, with or without you / But I guess I’m ’bout to find out.”

‘could cry just thinkin bout you’s release comes a year after it was reported that Sivan had split from his partner of four years, model Jacob Bixenman, amid the early coronavirus lockdowns that saw Troye return to his native Australia.
