Charlie Hunnam makes a cameo in Queer as Folk reboot with surprise Easter Egg

Charlie Hunnam’s Nathan Maloney makes a surprise cameo in the latest reboot of Russell T. Davies’ gay drama, Queer as Folk.
With QAF now being in its third iteration, it’s an opportunity for the showrunners to add in some easter eggs.
And that’s exactly what the makers of the latest reboot have done, bringing back one of the main characters from the original series.
The rebooted series began airing in the US on 9 June and will debut in the Uk on Starzplay on 1 July.
It focuses on a group of friends as they journey through the aftermath of a horrific Orlando Pulse nightclub-style shooting.
In the last episode of the series, Devin Way’s character, Brodie, considers a move to Manchester (in the UK) which just so happens to be where the original show was set.
Opening Grindr he shows one friend an account belonging to Nathan Maloney, Hunnam’s character, and says “Check out this guy”.

The image shows an older and considerably hunkier Charlie as seen in films such as The Gentlemen and King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.
Nathan was Hunnam’s first major TV role, which he landed at the age of 18. He played Nathan for the UK series’ two seasons which lasted from 1999 to 2000.
He then went on to star in series such as Sons of Anarchy for which he was twice nominated for the Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Actor.
