BBC Radio 1’s Clara Amfo says Wendy Williams deserves an Attitude Award

No lies detected.

Clara Amfo has called for US daytime TV host and queen of camp Wendy Williams to get an Attitude Award. And honestly, who can blame her?

BBC Radio 1 DJ Clara, who presented Christine and the Queens with the Attitude Music Award at this year’s star-studded event at Camden Roundhouse, admitted she’s addicted to The Wendy Williams Show as she was quizzed in the backseat of Jaguar’s all-electirc I-PACE after the ceremony.

After revealing everything from her most-used emojis to the last picture she took on her phone, Amfo was asked to disclose the last video she watch on YouTube – and Williams, whose no-nonsense pop culture assessments have attracted her a loyal gay fanbase – was the first thing on her midn.

“I bet it was The Wendy Williams Show, because I’m obessed, I subscribe to it and watch it”, Amfo says, reaching for her phone. “Yep, it was The Wendy Williams Show.”

Mimicking Williams’ welcome catchphrase, she added: ”How you doing?!’ Wendy Williams is fabulous. She needs an Attitude Award, definitely.”
