Madonna works with Kills, Kierszenbaum on new album

By Nick Levine

Madonna is working with cult pop singer Natalia Kills and producer Martin Kierszenbaum on her new album.

The Queen of Pop posted a photo on herself and Kills in the studio on Instagram earlier this morning (April 9) with the caption: “Working the midnight shift with Natalia Kills. 2 girls on a couch……….don”t it taste like Holy Water? #artforfreedom #rebelheart #revolutionoflove

Rebel Heart is believed by some fans to be the title of Madonna’s next single.

The man playing the keyboards in the photo, Billboard reports, is Martin Kierszenbaum, the head of US label Cherrytree Records.

Kierszenbaum served as the A&R man on Lady Gaga’s debut album The Fame and co-wrote/produced four of its tracks, including Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say).

Kills and Kierszenbaum are not the only collaborators Madonna has enlisted for her as-yet-untitled 13th studio album.

Last month, the singer confirmed that she has been working with Wake Me Up hitmaker Avicii on new material.

She later revealed that she has worked on “so many great songs” with the Swedish DJ.

Madonna’s last studio album, MDNA, was released in 2012 and reached number one in the US and UK. She scored her 13th and most recent UK chart-topping single with 4 Minutes in 2008.
