Kylie Minogue is now on course to miss the top ten this Sunday (March 16), according to the latest midweeks update.

Into the Blue, the lead single from the singer’s upcoming 12th album Kiss Me Once, is at number eleven in the standings today (March 14).

It has slipped from Wednesday (March 12), when it sat at number seven in the Official Chart Company’s midweek update.

If Into the Blue misses the top ten, it would be the singer’s first lead single to do so since Some Kind of Bliss, taken from her 1997 album Impossible Princess.

Her last top ten hit came in 2011, when her collaboration with Taio Cruz, Higher, peaked at number eight.

Following on from Into the Blue, Kylie Minogue’s new album Kiss Me Once will be released this Monday (March 17) – click here to read our track-by-track review.
