Dolly Parton: ‘I want to do a dance album for my gay fans’

Dolly Parton has revealed that she wants to record a dance album for her gay fans.

The country singer – who recently performed to huge crowds at Glastonbury – said that she has “several songs that are very positive towards the gay community”.

She added: “I have a song called Just A Wee Bit Gay. It’s a great little dance tune, it’s funny and it’s got a lot of comic in it.

“I do write a lot of songs along those lines with people that are different and are just themselves.”

Parton recently offered to adopt a dog which was abandoned at Glastonbury Festival, but it was later claimed by its owners.

The Islands in the Stream singer was also forced to deny that she mimed during her set on the Pyramid Stage on June 29.
