Christina Aguilera has confirmed she is working on a new album.
The 33-year-old singer, who is pregnant with her second child, took to Twitter to share the news late yesterday (April 19). See her tweet below.
Aguilera released her most recent album, Lotus, in 2012 and saw it stall at number seven in the US and number 28 on the UK’s Official Albums Chart.
However, she has recently scored a sizeable international hit with Say Something, a collaboration with US band A Great Big World, and teamed up with Lady Gaga last year for a well-received “remix” of the latter’s hit single Do What U Want.
She is currently appearing as a coach on the US version of The Voice but has announced that she will not be returning for the seventh season this Autumn.
Since making her chart debut in 1999, Aguilera has notched up 17 top ten hits on the UK’s Official Singles Chart including collaborations.
