KKK issues call for members to kill gay people

By Attitude Magazine

It’s unsurprising that the Ku Klux Klan continues to spread their message of violence and bigotry, but here they go again.

Queerty reports the extremist hate cult has taken another swipe at the gay community, calling for the end of HIV and AIDS through the mass killings of gay people.

Heads of the Louisiana KKK chapter have started distributing flyers which urge people to join the organisation by killing gay people in an effort “to save our land, join the Klan, white power”.

“Stop Aids: Support Gay Bashing,” one flyer reads.

“Homosexual men and their sexual acts are disgusting and inhuman.”

“Our race is our nation,” reads another.

Signed “Loyal White Knights of the KKK”, the flyer supplies a website address and telephone number for anyone idiotic enough to reach out.

Similar flyers have been appearing in states and counties across the United States.

WSBTV reports the Newton County Sheriff Office has launched an investigation, following several complaints by residents who found the flyers placed on their driveways and lawns.

Bessemer Deputy Police Chief Mike Roper told AL.com the flyers were “very offensive”.

“You got law abiding people having to wake up on a Sunday morning to a mess like this. It is kind of upsetting. In this day and time, it is kind of upsetting,” he said.

While police officers reportedly collected a large number of flyers, Roper said it was an “awful waste of manpower” and the department was still forming an appropriate plan of action.

“We don’t know if this is a one-time thing or if it’s going to continue,” he said.

Louisiana resident Patrick Sarver told WWL-TV the flyers were “repulsive”.

“I mean, I don’t discriminate against any group and I don’t feel like anyone around here should be discriminated against either.”

A woman who wished to remain anonymous said she was “extremely hurt by” the flyers.

“As a member of the gay community, I think it shows the ignorance of society still.”
