Gabe Gonzalez breaks down racism in the gay community for you in this brilliant new video: WATCH

By Josh Lee

Think it’s “just a preference?” Think again.

The gay community is as diverse as the world itself. But while we strive for our sexual rights to be heard and respected, are we letting racial equality slip away within our own community?

One writer and comedian certainly thinks so. Gabe Gonzales, a producer for news site Mic, believes that racist gay men have become the “fresh, new face of the same reliable racism of yesteryear,” in America, particularly during the current election cycle, which has seen a number of gay men aligning themselves with Donald Trump.

In the video, Gabe takes racist gay men to task, pointing out our incredibly diverse history, and the black and minority ethnic people who fought for our rigths across the world. He then goes on to criticise racial sexual preferences, explaining that it’s much more than “just a preference.”
