Donald Trump says Caitlyn Jenner can use any bathroom she chooses

By Fabio Crispim

At the town hall meeting in New York yesterday (April 21), Donald Trump blasted North Carolina’s HB2 anti-transgender policy.

Trump spoke to The Today Show and answered questions submitted by people in the crowd during the town hall meeting. One question asked Trump what he thought of North Carolina’s anti-transgender bathroom law, which bars the government from establishing bathroom accommodation for trasn people.

“North Carolina did something that was very strong and they’re paying a big price and there’s lots of problems.”

He continued: “There have been very few complaints the way it is. People go, they use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate, there has been so little trouble.”

Then, when asked, “If Caitlyn Jenner were to walk into Trump Tower, and wanna use the bathroom, you would be fine with her using any bathroom?” Trump replied saying: “That is correct.”

He also said that having transgender-specific toilets are ‘discriminatory’ and will be expensive for businesses and for the country.

“Leave it the way it is,” Trump says.
