Dolly Parton, Eric McCormack, Trixie Mattel and more remember Leslie Jordan

Tributes to the late actor-comedian continue to be paid.

More tributes are flooding in for Leslie Jordan, who died on Monday (24 October) aged 67.

The beloved actor and comedian died after a car crash in California.

Leslie portrayed the fan-favourite character, Beverly, during Will & Grace‘s original eight-season run from 1998-2006. He reprised the role from 2017-2020 for the show’s revival.

Among those to pay tribute after the news of Leslie’s death was Will & Grace star Sean Hayes, who played Jack. Sharing an image of the two of them he wrote: “My heart is broken”.

Erick McCormack, who played Will on Will & Grace also paid tribute. He described Leslie as “the funniest & flirtiest southern gent I’ve ever known.”

He continued: “The joy and laughter he brought to every one of his #WillandGrace episodes was palpable. Gone about thirty years too soon. You were loved, sweet man.”

Similarly, Trixie Mattel said: “shoutout to my angel @thelesliejordan for always showing up for me over the years. a real icon!” as she shared a few images of herself with Leslie on Instagram.

RuPaul’s Drag Race judge, Michelle Visage, described the friend of the show as “A light, a joy, PURE LOVE.” She added: “What a loss. Love you sweet Leslie”

World of Wonder also paid tribute to “a beloved gay icon”.

Another touching tribute is that of country singer Dolly Parton, who likened losing Leslie to hat of losing a family member.

She continued, “Leslie and I had a special bond, I think the world felt they had a special bond with him.”

“He will be missed by everyone who knew him personally and by everyone who was entertained by him,” she went on to say before concluding, “Rest in peace lil’ brother.”
