Lukas Gage admits The White Lotus’s rimming scene went ‘a little deeper’ than planned

Actor and former Attitude cover star Lukas Gage revealed The White Lotus rimming scene went “a little deeper” than planned with co-star Murray Bartlett.
The 30-year-old Overcompensating actor starred in seasons one and two of the queer-loved HBO series in 2021 and 2022, playing the character Dillon.
During his time on the show, Gage was famously rimmed by Bartlett’s character, and in the second season, his character also experienced a golden shower.
During an appearance on the Zach Sang Show promoting his memoir I Wrote This for Attention, he spoke about how surprised he was that the caught-in-the-act scene took the internet by storm.

“I didn’t think in the moment, coming up with that scene, it was going to get that attention online,” he said.
When host Zach Sang remarked, “You didn’t need to do that scene. The scene was supposed to be completely different,” Gage replied: “Well, not that different. We were going to have sex.”
He added: “It was [still] going to be titillating but I was like, lets, that’s the provocateur in me, lets go a little bit deeper, let’s go a little bit more shocking.”
The scene took viewers by surprise, though none were complaining. One wrote: “Thank you to The White Lotus for representing the ass eating community on tv.”
Another quipped: “He didn’t even do anything, Murray was the one who literally ate up that scene”.

Not only did fans love it, but Lukas’s mother loved it too! In an interview on Live With Kelly and Mark he said: “She loved it. She didn’t care. She was like, ‘Go for it!'”
He continued: “My mom is really cool and understanding about that kind of thing. She says I have the cutest butt in Hollywood, too.”
In a recent interview with Attitude, the former cover star spoke about his love life off screen. He touched on romance since his short marriage to Chris Appleton, which ended in late 2023 after approximately six months as husbands.

He said: “I’m a bit of a love addict… I’m a bit of a codependent and can have the impulse to want to jump in fast and hard in these intense relationships.”
Gage added: “I can have the awareness to maybe acknowledge and love that. That part of me loves love and is passionate and romantic, but maybe I don’t have to be so impulsive with it as well.”
