Watch: Hilarious video mocks anti-gay discrimination

By Will Stroude

A new viral video is poking fun at the idea of refusing someone service just for being gay – something that’s sadly still a reality in more than half of US states today.

According to the American Civil Liberties Union, 28 states still don’t have anti-gay discrimination laws protecting people on the basis of sexual orientation, meaning LGBT people can legally be refused service just for being gay.

Now, vlogger Ray Williams Johnson has taken a hilarious look at just why a business might not want gay people in their establishment, posted with the caption: “This one time I served a gay guy in restaurant I was working at. Immediately afterwards, I went straight to Hell.”

Our personal fave? “I can’t have this place smelling like Vaseline and Madonna”.
