finalist Courtney Act has released the video for her new single Mean Gays. Watch it below.

The Australian drag queen, real name Shane Jenek, is set to compete against Adore Delano and Bianca Del Rio in the final of the glamorous reality show, which airs tonight (May 19) at 10pm on US TV network Logo TV.

Mean Gays, which Act wrote herself, was inspired by the performer’s difficulties over the years trying to fit in with the LGBT community in her hometown of Los Angeles.

“I had a difficult time balancing my work and play lives,” Act explains on YouTube. “On the one hand, I loved drag and performing as Courtney. On the other hand, I felt an immense pressure to go to the gym and get the right body so I could fit in with the West Hollywood boys.”

She continues: “It’s fun to be a part of a clique but when the group starts to influence how you feel about yourself, or how you act towards other people, it is time to re-evaluate the situation. It’s important to be in touch with what feels right for you, surround yourself with people who respect the way you choose to live and always be an individual.”

Meanwhile, Courtney Act co-stars in the latest video from RuPaul herself, Sissy That Walk, which you can watch here.
