The first pictures of James Franco’s new gay film Michael have been released.
The biopic tells the true story of Michael Glatze, the co-founder of Young Gay America and a strong advocate for gay rights, who later denounced homosexuality after a health scare.
Turning to religion, he became a pastor and married a woman in 2013.
Franco will appear in the title role, while Zachary Quinto stars as Glatze’s former boyfriend Bennett. Emma Roberts, Charlie Carver and Daryl Hannah will also feature in the film.
Last month, it was reported that Franco, Quinto and Carver have filmed a threesome scene for the movie – find out more here.
Quinto recently came under fire when he criticised the LGBT community for being “lazy” over the continued spread of HIV – read his response here.
Michael will be released in 2015.
