Mel B calls Victoria Beckham ‘a bit of a b*tch’, admits to beating up a member of All Saints

By Will Stroude

Melanie Brown isn’t exactly known for her reserved nature, and the former Spice Girls has served up some anecdotal gold in a recent interview, in which she brands Victoria Beckham “a bit of a bitch” and recalls the time she met All Saints’ Shaznay Lewis and “tried to rip her weave off”.

Speaking about her former bandmate Victoria – who’s reportedly the only Spice Girl who won’t be marking the band’s 20th anniversary this year – on the Allegedly with Theo Von & Matthew Cole Weiss podcast this week, Mel said: “She’s very down to earth. She’s just a little bit of a bitch to people.”

Despite the jibe, the America’s Got Talent judge added that Posh has “a great sense of humour”, and that all the Spice Girls “can be bitches at some point”.

One person Mel might not be making up with however is All Saints member Shaznay Lewis, after the pair apparently got into a physical fight back in their ’90s heyday.

“There was this girl group called All Saints,” she explained. “And I had already beaten up one of them in the bathroom, the black girl Shaznay. She started giving me attitude so I went in the bathroom and tried to rip her weave off.

“And she chokes me and then we kinda got split up – but I won.”

She added: “The funny thing is they just brought out a new record last week. It’s really good!”

Said record – long-awaited comeback track ‘One Strike’ – is indeed really good, but do you know what would be even better? The Mel B vs Shaznay reunion episode of Celebrity Deathmatch we’re already planning in our heads.

Mel also confirmed that the Spice Girls may soon be following the All Saints, with a reunion still on the cards for this year.

“It’s a never-ending question. The thing is we are in talks with each other, closely about this reunion,” she said. “So until there’s something official to say there’s no point in saying anything.

“Until there’s tour dates to announce, tour dates, then there’s not point in talking about it until it actually happens.”

We’d say that you’ve rasied more than a few talking points, Melanie…
