Madonna brands Vladimir Putin and kale ‘gay’

Madonna had branded Vladimir Putin “gay” in a word association game – and said the same thing about kale, the hipster’s cabbage.

The Queen of Pop, who is currently working on her 13th studio album, played the game during a visit to Buzzfeed as part of her #ARTFORFREEDOM project.

Beginning the light-hearted game, the #iconic singer labelled Crocs “effective” and Instagram “time-consuming”.

Russian’s controversial President, Putin, and kale, a favourite foodstuff of Gwyneth Paltrow, were then both described as “gay” by the Human Nature  hitmaker.

Madonna is not the first legendary pop singer to make insinuations about Putin’s sexuality. Last month (March) Cher noted that his fondness for going shirtless is “very Village People”.

Madonna’s last studio album, MDNA, was released in 2012 and reached number one in the US and UK. She scored her 13th and most recent UK chart-topping single with 4 Minutes in 2008.
