Lisa Kudrow’s The Comeback will return to US screens on Sunday, November 9 at 10pm.

US cable network HBO – who decided to revive the series after almost a decade off-air – has also announced that the new season will consist of eight episodes, rather than six.

A UK broadcaster for the comedy series has yet to be announced.

A new teaser trailer for The Comeback‘s second season was released earlier this week – watch the trailer here.

The original series followed Cherish, a faded actress, as she starred in an ill-advised reality show in a bid to revive her flagging career. It has been reported that Kudrow’s co-stars Kellan Lutz and Malin Åkerman will reprise their roles in the new season.

Kudrow recently reunited with her Friends co-stars Courtney Cox and Jennifer Aniston for a brief sketch – watch here.
