Spencer‘s Kristen Stewart and West Side Story‘s Ariana DeBose are among the LGBTQ talent to be nominated for Oscars this year.

The Power of the Dog – a gritty Western starring Benedict Cumberbatch as a closeted cowboy – has meanwhile scored 12 nominations, the most of any film this year.

It is the first Oscar nod for Kristen, who plays the late Princess Diana in Spencer. The Twilight star, who is of course one of the world’s most visible LGBTQ women, is nominated for Best Actress.

Nominated for Best Supporting Actress is Ariana, who identifies as queer and is the breakout star of Steven Spielberg’s classic musical remake.

The gay-themed documentary Flee is up for Best Animated Feature.
