Elliot Page shows ‘trans is beautiful’ with first shirtless Instagram pic

Elliot Page is a summer mood in his latest Instagram post, showing him shirtless in a pair of swimming trunks.
The Umbrella Academy star posted the photo yesterday, alongside the caption: “Trans bb’s first swim trunks #transjoy #transisbeautiful.”
The post follows Elliot coming out as trans last December, telling fans in a statement: “I am trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot. I feel lucky to be writing this.”

“Happiness personified”
The Oscar-nominated star was flooded with support from famous names, including Orange Is the New Black‘s Ruby Rose, who said: “You look phenomenal!!”
Charlize Theron added that Elliot is “happiness personified” while Julianne Moore wished him a “happy summer.”
Elliot revealed in a recent interview with TIME that he had top surgery in December 2020.

He also told the publication: “Extremely influential people are spreading these myths and damaging rhetoric – every day you’re seeing our existence debated. Transgender people are so very real.”
“We know who we are. People cling to these firm ideas [about gender] because it makes people feel safe.
“But if we could just celebrate all the wonderful complexities of people, the world would be such a better place.”
