Dolly Parton to record Glastonbury ‘Mud Song’?

Dolly Parton has revealed that she could record a studio version of the so-called ‘Mud Song’ which she performed at Glastonbury last month (June).
The rhinestone-loving legend wrote the one-off song as a tribute to the festival’s infamously filthy conditions, and it proved so popular that she is now considering recording it, The Sun reports.
“I’m getting such demand for the mud song that we’re talking about recording it. There have been so many requests,” the 68-year-old singer-songwriter said.
“There is talk about getting a different artist to perform it every year,” she added.
During the performance of the song at Glastonbury, Parton was seen rapping lyrics such as: “Here’s mud in your face, here’s mud in your eye, you old stick in the mud, but that’s alright,” while the audience chanted along to the chorus of “mud, mud, mud”.
Meanwhile Parton also revealed that she was flattered by the response to her Glastonbury set, which attracted rave reviews and a record-breaking audience of over 100,000 revellers – though she was later forced to deny claims that she mimed onstage.
“Whoever thought I’d end up all trendy and cool,” she said. “It’s great at my age as you never know if people are going to like you.”
