Marvel Studios are toying with the idea of introducing three different Captain America’s in the future – a young black one, a female one and a gay one.

At the end of Avengers: Endgame we saw original Cap, Steve Rogers, hand over the mantle to Sam Wilson’s Falcon, who is set to take on the role in the upcoming TV series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

But now, We Got This Covered are reporting that the MCU could be introducing three more characters to take on the role of the iconic superhero.

According to the site, the young black Captain America will be part of the Young Avengers and it’s speculated it will be Patriot aka Eli Bradley – an African-American teenager who is part of the roster in the comics.

Although there is no openly gay Captain America in the comic books, there are two possibilities for a female Cap.

One of these could be Miss America – America Chavez – who is reportedly set to arrive in the MCU soon with the Ultimates team.

Miss America would also mark the first Latina LGBTQ superhero so could potentially take on the role of the gay Cap.

It’s also rumoured that Steve Rogers’ love interest Peggy Carter – who he stayed in the past at the end of Endgame – could appear as Captain Britain in the upcoming animated What If…? series.

Although this is yet to be confirmed by Marvel, it appears all options are not outrageously ridiculous for Marvel Studios to create.
