Boy George: ‘People say Sam Smith looks like me’

Boy George has praised Sam Smith, saying that the singer has got a “really beautiful voice”.

The 53-year-old also said that many people think that Smith looks him as a 20-year-old.

Speaking on Fuse’s ‘Top 20 Countdown’ on Tuesday (August 26), he said: “Apparently there’s this obsession that he looks like me when I was, like 20—but I really can’t see the similarity at all.”

The Culture Club singer added that he may collaborate with Smith in the near future as they have discussed a potential collaboration.

“We’ve actually talked about doing something together. I met him last year and we talked about maybe writing together or something, which would be great,” he explained. “It would be an amazing thing to do and certainly now I’m much more open to those things.”
