Bob the Drag Queen has responded to the record-breaking length of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 13.
This year’s installment, which saw Symone snatch the crown last month, consisted of 16 episodes.
There were also 14 episodes of Untucked, and a documentary called RuPaul’s Drag Race: Corona Can’t Keep a Good Queen Down.
Season eight, by comparison, consisted of just nine episodes, with Bob winning and Kim Chi and Naomi Smalls as runners-up.
“My season had nine episodes – by the time they were at a top-six, I had already won”
In an interview with BuzzFeed published this week, Bob opined: “I’m on the shortest season. My season had nine episodes. By the time they were at a top-six, I had already won Drag Race.”

The We’re Here star added: “Well, typically whenever I’m talking about how long it is, I’m joking, and I love Drag Race. I do not love the episodes where no one goes home. I do not like that. I will be honest. I would like to see someone’s great dreams be crushed, please. I need that for me to feel resolve at the end of an episode. But Drag Race is my favorite TV show, so I’m always happy to see more and more.”
In a recent interview with Attitude, Bob also revealed their favourite Drag Race star ever: Monét X Change.
“It’s completely unbiased,” Bob explained. “Monét is a really brilliant drag queen; she’s funny, smart, talented, beautiful, ambitious; and she can sing, dance, sew, and do makeup. Before Monét, it was Alaska.”
