Homosexual singer, Darren Hayes, has shared some of the disgusting homophobia he’s received online in recent days.

Tweeting on Sunday (30 October) he wrote: “The homophobia I’ve received in the past 24 hours is unlike anything I’ve experienced.”

It follows a tweet Darren posted a day earlier reading: “Horse racing is barbaric”. He later shared an article from 2021 regarding a BBC Panorama documentary and evidence of cruelty against horses.

The responses are horrific.

“You just have a problem with everything don’t you? Last week it was @kanyewest this week it’s horse racing. What will next week be?” typed one person.

In response, Darren tweeted: “Yeah I was way out on my lonesome with the Kanye thing.”

Another person wrote back to Darren’s horse racing tweet, “Sticking things up your anus is pretty barbaric”

Darren shared this himself adding that a lot of the accounts posting such responses were fairly recently made and “full of hate speech”. He also said: “It’s like a toilet wall”.

“You homo cuxt,” someone wrote to Darren’s horse racing tweet. Again, the former Savage Garden singer shared this with his own, “Twitter is great now”.

Darren did the same for someone who chose to reply to his original tweet by saying, “Anal fissures are self-inflicted.”

When the same person tweeted an article by the South Florida Gay News Darren tweeted, “The homophobia I’ve received in the past 24 hours is unlike anything I’ve experienced.”

Someone picked up on the former Savage Garden singer’s “toilet wall” tweet and wrote: “i bet you are very familiar with toilet walls”.

Again, Darren shared this adding, “Twitter” pointing to the social platform’s lows.

Ahead of the release of his latest album, Homosexual, Darren spoke of choosing the album’s title as a way of reclaiming the world for himself.

“I think it means something magical, amazing, unique, and essential. My name is Darren Hayes.  And I’m a proud Homosexual,” he in August.

Homosexual is out now.
